Driving Today NewsMar 5, 2008 Lithium-Powered Vehicles to Hit New YorkWhen you think of ecologically friendly vehicles, the first “green” you think about is not the olive green of military vehicles, but Hybrid Technologies, emerging as a leader in the development and marketing of lithium-powered products worldwide, is planning on displaying its innovative, military LiVTM Reaper equipped with an electronic-shifting differential at the upcoming New York International Auto Show. The show model will be fully loaded and armed with a 50-caliber gun and grenade launcher, just in case the crowds get too intense. It is said to be capable of speeds of 85 mph and has a driving a range of 185 miles. Also included in the NYIAS lineup is the first public appearance of the LiVTM Bulldog. The electric vehicle can accommodate five passengers, and it is equipped with comfort items like tilt steering and conveniences like a three-position winch capable of heavy rear loading.
