Finding your Assets with Both Hands

If you'd like to keep track of your heavy equipment (I keep mine with me at all times) or if you'd just like to keep tabs on your teenage son, now there is a new Web-based solution. The TeleNav Asset Tracker is a small, battery-powered GPS unit that can be placed on vehicles, trailers, tractors or heavy equipment to monitor their locations. Using any Web-connected personal computer and an Internet browser, you can log into a password-protected Web site and view the exact position of all mobile assets, updated each hour. The product can also be customized to send an alert as soon as an asset moves from its current location.

"It can be difficult for organizations with large fleets or equipment yards to keep track of their assets," said HP Jin, TeleNav president, CEO and co-founder. "TeleNav Asset Tracker is an affordable, easy-to-use product that gives companies peace of mind knowing where every vehicle or piece of equipment is located. Our goal with this product is to not only help these companies improve operations efficiency, but also asset security."

Of course, you can use the device to track the whereabouts of your family car as well. The device is available immediately and costs $199.99 plus $19.99 per month for the Web-based tracking feature. Customers also pay a one-time setup fee of $19.99 and need to have a Sprint Data Access Plan which costs $7 per month. For a free consultation or to order TeleNav Asset Tracker, you can call 888-353-6282.
